A provider network is a list of approved doctors, hospitals and other care providers that are associated with your plan. Tufts Health Plan provides members with a comprehensive network of health care professionals and providers. The network varies depending on your plan choice.

Most members enrolled in our employer-sponsored, Medicare Preferred, Medicare Complement or Senior Care Options plans have access to our standard network, which includes a full choice of doctors in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

If the plan name includes any of the following things, your plan does NOT use the standard network:
- Select Network
- CareLinkSM
- Spirit
- Tufts Health Direct
- Tufts Health Together (MassHealth)
- Tufts Health Unify

This network is used by members enrolled in HMO Select or Advantage HMO Select, or members with ID cards that say "Select Network." If you are a member of these plans, be sure you obtain covered services from providers who participate in the Select Network.
*The Select Network plan has a limited service area that excludes Berkshire, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

National choice of doctors including Cigna Health Care. This network is available to Tufts Health Plan CareLink members. In-network providers may include Cigna contracted providers as well as Tufts Health Plan contracted providers. Behavioral health (mental health) providers who are in the Tufts Health Plan Standard Network but are not Cigna contracted providers may not be a part of the CareLink network.
The Cigna PPO Network is available to HMO and EPO members for urgent and emergency care while traveling outside of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
POS and PPO members may access the Cigna PPO Network outside of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire using their unauthorized or out-of-network level of benefits. Using the Cigna PPO Network may save members money on their out-of-pocket expenses. Any urgent or emergency care POS and PPO members receive in this network would be covered at the authorized or in-network level of benefits.
PLEASE NOTE: Only medical providers located OUTSIDE of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire participate and offer savings through this Out-of-Network Savings Program.
This provider search will return some provider types that are not part of our Out-of-Network Savings Program. Please disregard the following provider types: Dentists in any state and Medical Providers located in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
This network is used by members enrolled in Tufts Health Plan Spirit. If you are a member of this plan, be sure you obtain covered services from providers who participate in the Spirit Network.
