SOMA athletes compete and thrive

We’ll soon be introducing you to SOMA athletes, family members and caregivers who are making a difference and fostering inclusion across the state. Each quarter, we’ll present the Tufts Health Plan Healthy Heroes Award to a deserving person (or group of people) who: 

  • Is a good role model who exemplify the importance of making healthy and empowering choices
  • Is a SOMA athlete or family member/caregiver of an athlete
  • Helps SOMA athletes and/or family members reach their health and wellness goals
  • Demonstrates how healthy choices can improve the lives of SOMA athletes and their families

We’ll feature award winners’ stories here to celebrate their accomplishments and inspire others to make a difference.

Tufts Health One Care is a health plan for adults who have both Medicare and Medicaid. It’s a plan that focuses on health, wellness and empowerment. 

Our mission? To make it easier for members with intellectual and/or physical disabilities or complex health issues to manage their health. Members get more benefits than they have with separate MassHealth and Medicare plans at $0 added costs to them. And they get the services and support to live their lives to the fullest.
