How to Renew Your Coverage
Watch your mail for info from MassHealth
When MassHealth reviews your information each year, they will send you a letter. If the letter tells you MassHealth automatically renewed your MassHealth coverage, you do not have to do anything.
If the letter says you must renew your benefits, follow the instructions in the letter:
- If MassHealth sends a renewal application, confirm the information or make any changes. Fill out and send the application to MassHealth by the date in your letter.
- Check your mail for a letter from MassHealth letting you know the results.
- Call MassHealth at 800.841.2900 (TTY: 800.497.4648) if you need help.
Once you renew your MassHealth coverage, you do not have to take action to keep Tufts Health Plan. Your coverage with us will continue.
Plan selection and fixed enrollment periods
MassHealth will tell you about your annual plan selection period. You can change your health plan during the annual plan selection period for any reason. You do not have to take action if you want to keep the plan you have.
Once the plan selection period ends, you will be in a fixed enrollment period. This means you will be unable to change your health plan during this time, except in limited circumstances.
