Coverage for every life stage and circumstance
Everyone has different needs when it comes to health care. That’s why we work hard to create affordable health plan options for our clients and members. We offer Employer and Medicaid plans in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Massachusetts residents may be eligible for our Medicare Plans. Tufts Health Plan products are also available through the Massachusetts Health Connector.
With an HMO plan, care is coordinated through a primary care physician (PCP). This is a great plan option for employers that want to keep costs lower by keeping care in-network.
A PPO plan allows for members to receive care from any doctor without the need of a referral from a PCP. If the flexibility to see any provider is important, a PPO is the ideal option.
Advantage HMO and PPO
Advantage plans feature lower premiums than traditional HMO and PPO plans in exchange for cost-sharing through a deductible, coinsurance, and co-payments.
Advantage Saver HMO and PPO
Advantage Saver plans are qualified High-Deductible Health Plans that may be paired with a Health Savings Account. Saver plans include the lowest premiums of any of our plan designs.
Tiered plans provide access to our full provider network, while also providing an opportunity to lower costs. A tiered network is a plan in which providers are grouped into “tiers” based on the value of care they provide, encompassing both cost and quality.
Our Carelink plan is a solution for large Masschusetts- and Rhode Island-based employers that have a large population of employees living outside the Tufts Health Plan service area (MA, RI, and NH). Employees can enroll in this national network plan regardless of where they live.
Cigna Out-of-Area PPO
Our Cigna Out-of-Area PPO is a national solution for small and large Massachusetts- and Rhode Island-based employers. Unlike CareLink, only members who live outside the Tufts Health Plan service area may enroll.
Our Direct and Premier plans each have different provider networks, which means some doctors may be in one network and not the other. Before choosing a plan, members need to make sure their PCP, specialist, and/or behavioral health provider is in-network for that plan.
Tufts Health Direct
Our focused-network plan for individuals and small groups. Offering low-cost ConnectorCare plans and federal premium tax credits to those who qualify. Again, before choosing a plan, members need to make sure their provider is in the Direct network.
Tufts Health Premier
Our standard-network plan for individuals and small groups. Offering affordable HMO plans with a variety of benefit options to meet our clients and members' needs. Again, before choosing a plan, members need to make sure their provider is in the Premier network.
