Tufts Health Plan Provides Notice of Data Security Incident
Canton, Mass. — Tufts Health Plan is providing notice of a data security incident that occurred with one of its vendors, OneTouchPoint, Inc., (“OTP”), that may affect the privacy of certain individuals’ protected health information and personal information.
On June 6, 2022, Tufts Health Plan was notified that OTP, who provides printing and mailing services to various health insurance carriers and medical providers, including Tufts Health Plan, was targeted by a ransomware attack that occurred on April 27, 2022. Prior to the issue being discovered, certain member information may have been compromised.
