Tufts Health Plan is committed to helping our diverse communities thrive, through our foundation grants, employee volunteer efforts, corporate sponsorships and more.

We bring a listening mindset to our community involvement, following the lead of local and nonprofit leaders so we can make the most meaningful impact.

Supporting the priorities of communities of color

In 2020, the Tufts Health Plan Foundation committed $1 million to support investments in social and racial justice causes in our community, divided among three affinity funds for anti-racism: The New Commonwealth Fund, The Latino Legacy Fund, and the Asian Community Fund. Enhancing quality of life and access to care.

Providing urgent assistance to communities during the pandemic

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation has provided $900,000 in funding to support non-profit organizations focused on urgent needs in communities, especially those disproportionately affected by the virus. These organizations are addressing food access, housing assistance, and other fundamental supports to help people stay safe and healthy.

Annual Volunteer Day

Each year, hundreds of Tufts Health Plan Employees spend a day helping nonprofits in the communities we serve. Activities have included preparing meals for people with chronic illnesses, doing yard work, sorting donated food, assembling books for people who are blind or visually impaired, setting up sites for summer camps serving low-income children, and more.
