What is cultural competency?
Quality Interactions, Tufts Health Plan's cultural competency training vendor, defines cultural competence as follows:

"Cultural competence in health care describes the ability of systems and health care professionals to improve high-quality care to patients with diverse values, beliefs and behaviors, including delivery to meet each individual’s social, cultural and linguistic needs."
