We consider your Tufts Health Public Plans patients' medical records to be confidential and require our provider network to:

• Ensure only authorized personnel have access to medical records
• Keep medical records current and organized
• Lock medical records in an office when staff is not present
• Periodically train staff in keeping medical records confidential

Inpatient Behavioral Health Treatment Record Review

Each year, we review a random selection of inpatient behavioral health treatment records based on admission rates, as well as those of facilities whose past performance fell below compliance levels. these reviews are designed to be constructive and are an integral part of our ongoing QI efforts.
