We offer you medically necessary behavioral health services at many different levels of care, based on your needs, your use of health care and/or any related medical conditions. Many behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) benefits and services are available to support your diagnosis and treatment. Please know that some services require your provider’s notification or prior approval. The levels of care are:
Acute — these services represent the highest level of service intensity based the need for secure 24-hour behavior health management
Outpatient — general outpatient therapy services
Intermediate — fully integrated behavioral health treatment services that include a multi-disciplinary team
Substance use disorder residential programs — high, medium and low intensity treatment programs help make sure members are effectively and appropriately managed.
Home and community-based services — specialized programs designed for members under 21 years of age with complex health needs
