A Message from the President and CEO

To your health

It’s an understatement to say the coronavirus has caused tremendous disruption to all of us in our personal daily lives. Schools and offices are closed. Routines are shattered. Social distancing is the new normal. These truly are unprecedented times.

One thing has not changed, however: Tufts Health Plan’s commitment to those we serve. We’re doing everything we can to support our members, our providers, our clients, and our own employees during these uncertain times – and to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on the virus.

For our members, there are no out-of-pocket costs for medically necessary coronavirus testing and counseling. And, there are no copayments for necessary treatment. We have also expanded telehealth options, which include telephone consultations.

I’m also very proud of the fact that our Tufts Health Plan Foundation has committed $1 million to nonprofit organizations supporting older people affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

These are just some of the ways we’re supporting our community. For questions you may have about the coronavirus or for the latest information, please visit our COVID-19 Resource Center. You can also call the member services number on your Tufts Health Plan member ID to ask questions around your benefits. We are open and serving all of our customers.

During these uncertain times, it’s remarkable to witness all of us coming together as a community to support each other. Please know that Tufts Health Plan is committed to the health and wellbeing of all the diverse communities we serve, and we will continue to do so.

Thomas A. Croswell
