Member ID Card Update
Additional cost details to be included starting January 2022
Tufts Health Plan is updating member ID cards, beginning January 1, 2022. The new cards will include additional details like in- and out-of-network deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums to comply with the No Surprises Act of 2021. These details will be explained in a letter that is sent with every new member ID card received via postal mail. Digital member ID cards will also be updated and available through the secure member portal.
A new ID card will only be mailed to you if there are any:
- New benefits added to your plan
- Changes to existing plan features
- Updates or changes to your personal member information
As always, you can continue to request a new ID card by logging into your secure member account, or by calling the member services phone number listed on the back of your card.
If you do not receive a new member ID card, you should continue to use your existing card, just as you do today.
