Treatments related to a mastectomy

Under the Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998, you are covered for the following treatments related to a mastectomy:

• Reconstruction of the involved breast
• All stages of surgery and reconstruction of the other breast, with the goal of giving a balanced appearance
• A prosthesis or artificial replacement
• Care for complications and physical problems of all stages of mastectomy, including lymphedema
