Tufts Health Plan is committed to making sure our members have access to health care services throughout the current COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. Rest assured that we are fully prepared to do everything on our part to serve our members and help combat the spread of the disease. We also want you to have the most up-to-date information about this crisis and will be sending you regular communications such as this. We are here to help allay fears and find solutions that help all our customers. Our service and operational teams have extensive preparedness plans and remote capabilities to ensure that we maintain the high standards of service that are expected. We can’t stress enough the importance of following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about washing hands, avoiding person-to-person contact, keeping your hands away from your face, and limiting exposure to large groups of people. Please read and follow these guidelines to the best of your ability. Also, if you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, you should call your health care provider before going to a health care facility. It’s important to know that testing and screening for Coronavirus is covered at no cost to you so do not let that be a deterrent. You can call the Member Services phone number on your ID card for help with questions about access to health care services. Or call our 24-hour Nurse line at 866.201.7919 with clinical questions. Also, you can access telehealth services if offered through your provider or through Teladoc, teladoc.com/tuftshealthplan if your employer offers this benefit. Telehealth enables you to make inquiries regarding symptoms or treatment for the Coronavirus in order to reduce your need to go to medical offices where the risk of exposure to the disease may be higher. These telehealth services related to the Coronavirus are available at no cost to you until further notice. Stay well and be safe.
