Canton, Mass – Point32Health today reported an adjusted net income of $156.0 million for the 12 months ending on Dec. 31, 2021. Adjusted net income includes an operating loss of $11.7 million and investment income of $175.5 million, excluding mark-to-market investment gains and losses on equity securities, with revenues of $9.4 billion. Membership was 2.2 million at the end of 2021.

“The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant financial impact on our 2021 financial results, totaling $244 million related to testing, treatment and vaccine administration. While we navigated financial pressures throughout the year in some of our lines of business, our strong investment portfolio has helped us weather volatility,” said Umesh Kurpad, chief financial officer, Point32Health. “Throughout 2022, we look forward to announcing new health initiatives, including innovative health equity and behavioral health programs, that will benefit our members and the communities we serve throughout the region.”

These financial results compared to a year ago when the organization reported an adjusted net income of $32.8 million for the year ending Dec. 31, 2020, which comprised an operating loss of $21.8 million and investment income of $73.7 million, excluding mark-to-market investment gains and losses on equity securities, with revenues of $9.1 billion. Membership was 2.3 million at the end of 2020.
