Our Culture
There’s a reason so many employees stay at Tufts Health Plan for so long—and why those who leave often boomerang back: We’re a place where people come first.

Management sets the tone and it filters throughout the organization, to every department and every position, creating a culture of caring, collaboration and support. We’re proud to have been recognized for multiple workplace awards, including the Boston Globe best places to work.
Our employees represent a huge range of backgrounds, cultures, talents and experiences. They regularly come together for social and recreational events, from intramural sports leagues (basketball, flag football, rowing, softball and soccer) to holiday receptions to casual after-work and weekend outings. Many choose to participate in our various Business Resource Groups (BRGs)—affinity groups for networking, education and connection that support our diverse and inclusive environment.
Giving back is an essential element of the Tufts Health Plan culture. We offer employees a variety of opportunities to make a difference in the local community, including volunteer days, blood drives, clothing and food drives, and a company match program for financial donations and volunteer service.
We listen to each other’s ideas and feedback, whether it’s within project teams or across the company at large. At regular town hall meetings or informal conversations, employees can ask questions and share their concerns with executive leadership. Everyone at Tufts Health Plan, no matter what their title or role, has a voice.
